Coach
With nearly 30 years of experience in running, Jacob has raced distances ranging from 400 meters to 100 miles. His running journey began at 12 years old when he realized the positive impact of running 3 miles before school. In 2020, he founded Run Forever Coaching, offering personalized coaching for runners from 400 meters to 100-mile distance, including ultra-distance obstacle course racers. Alongside his coaching at Run Forever, he also coaches cross-country and track at Victoria High School and leads a weekly trail running group called Island Endurance. His coaching philosophy is centered around quality over quantity and believes consistency is the key to long-term success.
Whether you’re just starting out, returning from a break, or training for your next big race, Run Forever Coaching is built to support your journey. We work with athletes of all backgrounds and experience levels – because running isn’t about where you begin, it’s about how far you’re willing to go. No pace is too slow, no goal too big – we’re here to help you run stronger, longer, and with purpose.
We offer flexible coaching for both individuals and groups, so you can grow on your own or build momentum with others. Whether you prefer one-on-one guidance or thrive in a community setting, you’ll receive the same high-quality coaching, personalized support, and motivation to keep pushing forward – every step of the way.
Since training with Run Forever, Lincoln has brought his Marathon best down to 2:57 from 2:32 (in one Marathon!). He has also ran a personal best in the half-marathon and has run some good trail races too. Looking forward to more big breakthroughs for Lincoln!
Matt worked with Run Forever to prepare for his first 100 mile trail race. He chose a particularly tough race, the Cascade Crest 100. Matt had a great outing and finished his first 100 miler strong!
Manuela came to Run Forever to prepare for the PREP police fitness test. Not only did she pass the PREP test and get recruited to be a police officer, she ran her first 5k and 10k along the way!
So proud of Donna! After running her first 50k, she signed up for an 80k. When we first started working together, seven months before the 80k, her shin splints were so bad she could only run 5k. Through the power of consistency we built from 20 minute runs with walking breaks to successfully finishing the 80k race!
Peter is fresh off a 2:32 Marathon personal best at the Boston Marathon! With ambitious goals to run much faster, we are planning to lower his 5k time so he has the speed and Vo2 Max to reach those goals.
Started working with Sarah just a few months post-partum. Through consistency and diligence she ran some great trail races and significantly lowered her 5k personal best.
